Job Description

Do you have experience within shipping and logistics? Do you have experience working for a fast-paced manufacturer? If so, this role is for you!

The role is for a company based in Hamble. The working hours are regular office hours. The role is also paying up to £32,000 dependant on experience.

This role is working for a collaborative, innovative photonic and laser manufacturer based in Southampton. They manufacture equipment for a wide range of industries from automotive to military to medical. The role would consist of managing and issuing documentation such as invoices and general administration. Liaison with freight companies and suppliers is also a major responsibility in this role ensuring that importation and exportation is completed smoothly and within time restraints. There will also be an element of customer interaction as you will be required to sometimes help with customer queries or concerns. You will also be expected to use, navigate and update the MRP/SAP systems accordingly.

The role also offers 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, standard pension contribution and free onsite parking. There is also the possibility of an annual bonus at the discretion of the company and dependent on experience.

You will need:

• Experience with logistics and shipping

• Experience with MRP and SAP systems

• A qualification related to Logistics/Shipping is desirable

• Great organisational skills

• A keen eye to detail

• Excellent communication skills
