We have a role on to work at a Machine Shop in Fareham as a Quality Inspector on a 9 month fixed term position, paying £16 per hour working 38 hours weeks, 8am through to 5pm Monday to Thursday, with a noon finish on Fridays.
As a fixed term position, you are still entitled to all the benefits of a permanent employer, this includes a good pension scheme of up to 7% contribution from the employer, 5 weeks holiday (before pro-rata), major high street discounts at supermarkets and cinemas etc, cash back schemes on healthcare bills, cycle to work and ample parking available.
In this position you will be responsible for ensuring the product conforms to standards throughout the process from the components being machined to being assembled and then final inspection.
You'll work with engineering drawings, you'll identify trends in conformity issues, calibration and maintenance of the tools and you'll be able to interact with suppliers to resolves issues.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has inspection experience already or someone who is looking to move off the machines and forge a career within the world of Quality Engineering.
What do I need?
- Inspection experience of machined metal components
- Highly familiar working with engineering drawings
- Experience of working to high industry standards / tight tolerances
- A pleasant yet firm nature to ensure standards are always achieved
- A natural drive to always look for continuous improvements
- Adequate command of the English language - both written and spoken
- Ability to work in cross-functional process improvement teams
