Job Description

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work at a highly prestigious manufacturing site in Devon, South West England, where you will be one of 25 maintenance engineers working the night shift (or a combination of days and nights) at this site. The company will support relocation for the right candidate and inclusive of night shift the role pays highly competitively.

If you have a few years of maintenance experience behind you, have an apprenticeship/ONC, HNC etc at least and have accumulated your experience ideally within a manufacturing/production environment then we are very keen to hear from you!!

This role will be based in Devon, one of englands most desirable counties to live in. After your shift, if you wish you can join the team for a session of early morning surf boarding! You'll work ideally Tuesday nights through to Saturday night or they can offer a combination of days/nights work. What does the role involve?

Employing several hundred at this site, you will never feel restless and there will always be machine challenges to tackle and things to learn! However this role is not limited to just production machinery maintenance, you'll also get involved with facilities and buildings maintenance as well to give you great variety and job satisfaction! The role is multi skilled, if you are strongly gifted in mechanical maintenance that's great, if you have electrical qualifications/experience on top even better. As a Maintenance engineer you'll be involved with installation of production machinery, commissioning, and breakdowns and also be able to tackle plant/facilities challenges. Additionally you'll also be able to challenge current operations, suggest improvements and really help make production and the site more efficient.

Sounds great, so what do I need?

  • Engineering certification, i.e apprenticeship, ONC, HND, HND for example.
  • At least a couple of years of maintenance experience, primarily within production/manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical expertise. Ideally multi skilled.
  • Willingness and capacity to absorb training and grow your engineering skill set.
