Tell me More!

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be an integral part of their Maintenance department becoming their 3rd member. The role is fairly evenly split between mechanical and electrical activities, yet will likely start leaning more towards electrical works in the years to come and become heavily weighted towards PPM as breakdowns become rare. The site operates 24/5 and your role will be ensuring the safe and efficient operation of their bespoke and heavily customised equipment. This includes equipment such as moulding machines, switches, vacuum furnaces, quite niche bits of kit to get stuck in to! Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing proactive maintenance schedules and preventative routines. They are particularly keen for a self starter, someone who can analyse downtime trends and other data to then investigate accordingly. You'll get to collaborate with production personnel, engineering teams, and project leaders to develop and implement best practices and always looking to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participating in the introduction of new processes and equipment.

What do I need?

  • Self starting, independent, proactive in approach
  • An engineering background with maintenance experience ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical and mechanical experience
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and /or hydraulics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication skills.
