We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work for a very exciting engineering company who design and manufacture innovative products for military and commercial warfare defensive aids/systems. Utilising highly innovative and exciting technology as a Manufacturing Engineer you'll improve the manufacturing process ensuring that current and new products designs are optimised for cost and efficient manufacturing.

Working hours are typically 0930 to 1730 Monday to Thursday with a 1pm finish on Fridays
You'll work at one of their sites in Hamble Southampton and utilise your manufacturing / industrial engineering experience to develop plant layout, tooling, fixtures and manufacturing processes. You'll have an understanding of DFMA to eliminate inefficiency in a product design and an understanding of DFMA principles is important. There products are typically low volume high value and so if you already work in a similar environment this would be ideal.
What do I need to apply? A degree in Engineering is essential or at least to HND level, i.e mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering for example. You'll have to have experience within manufacturing, i.e tooling, fixtures, BOM, DFMA and of course be able to collect and conclude from data to tackle challenges and suggest improvements.
