We are looking for a Materials Buyer to join our client in Segensworth who design and manufacture advanced mechanical assemblies into highly regulated and reputable industries around the globe.

As a Materials Buyer, the role will revolve around purchasing metal materials like Aluminium, Brass, and Titanium. You will already have a level of familiarity with some or all of these materials and have a desire to enhance your technical knowledge as you advance in your procurement career.

What will I be doing?
Your confidence and competence as a Buyer will shine through as you become adept in discussing metal grades and specifications. You'll be comfortable engaging in technical conversations regarding material procurement and surface treatments.

Working closely with the engineering teams will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of the products and part technical requirements, further boosting your expertise as a Materials Buyer.

What do I need?

• Buying/Procurement experience within a manufacturing organisation.
• An understanding of metal materials / surface treatments.
• Aptitude, awareness and competency to learn greater technical accountabilities.
• Strong communication skills to liaise internally and externally to peers and customers.

• Willingness to want to learn and grow your technical engineering knowledge.

• The ability to remain self-motivated with a tenacious attitude.
