Do you have experience within a materials team, working with stock and inventory, and are interested in becoming a team leader? Then we may have the role for you!
You'll be working as a Materials Team Leader for a well-established engineering company in Portsmouth, managing and developing a small team.
Your day-to-day will consist of leading the materials team to ensure the purchasing and control of inventory is cost effective and efficient as well as delivering fully kitted projects to the operations teams.
As a leader you'll attend meetings with key suppliers and participate in supply chain and wider company projects when necessary.
What do I need?
- Working knowledge of stock control, planning, and scheduling systems.
- Experience within an inventory control/customer facing environment.
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
- Experience of dealing face to face with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and reviewing KPI's to drive performance.
