Job Description

Position: Materials Technician - Heat Treatment and Alocrom Applications

Industry: Aerospace

Location: Fareham

Responsibilities:

• Perform heat treatment and coating processes on various parts and components.
• Ensure accurate control of temperatures, durations, and cooling rates.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify heat treatment results.
• Apply Alocrom coating to parts according to specifications.
• Monitor process parameters and maintain quality standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Materials Technician, specifically in heat treatment and Alocrom application.
• Solid knowledge of heat treatment techniques, including annealing, quenching, and tempering.
• Familiarity with Alocrom coating processes and related equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot process issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Hourly rate of £16.27 rising to £16.76 after 12 weeks. Working hours are 7.30-15.45 Monday - Thursday and 7.30-11.30 on Friday.
