We are recruiting for a Design Engineer to become part of a multi-talented team at a well invested in manufacturing site in Segensworth near to Fareham, Hampshire. Paying a range of £35000 up to £42000 depending upon experience.

In this role you'll be involved in design engineering a variety of interesting mechanical products that are machined, fabricated, assembled on site and distributed across the globe!

You'll be part of a team of 6 within Design and in this role, you'll work closely with the project team, quality and production team day to day. The products they make vary, the components are all machined to tight precision tolerances, are assembled and fabricated into products such as switches, valves and filtration devices.
As a Design Engineer, 40% of your time will be involved with modelling for manufacture and also the associated technical reporting and specifications. The second largest part of your role would be supporting activities, including working closely with production and quality on any design relating challenges, around 20% of the time. You'll also be involved in design reviews, perform design calcs and interact with customers/suppliers. Your work will offer variety, you'll have opportunity to be down with the test and development team seeing how robust your designs really are in testing, you'll also be able to see your designs first hand being built on the shop floor and work closely with them seeing your work all the way through!
So what do I need?
- 3D CAD skills
- A recent form of relating mechanical engineering certification
- At least a years' experience recently/currently within a design engineering role
- Great dynamic communication skills to interact well between the departments
- Current eligibility to work in the UK
