An amazing oppourtunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to work with children on the autistic spectrum within a secondary school enviornment (Ages 11-16).
Working within small specific class sizes you will have a varied role working with the children, offering classroom support to the teacher as well as a degree of 1-1 support with the children. as well as assisting the teacher by organising and running activities and producing displays and resources.
You will be working in a well established school in a beautifully set rural area just outside of Oxford, the school is part of a group of 3 educational establishements where they specialise in the provision of care and education for children with autism.
Previous experience working with children with learning disabilites is required, in any type of format as this role is primarily about the drive of you as an individual to work with young people with autism and communicate in a positive and effective manner with focus on personal development and well-being of the young people.
Working hours are 830 - 4 and you will be working 38 weeks of the year, this is a great oppourtunity to work with young people with autism and make a positive difference to their lives.
