Job Description

Are you an experienced Machinist/Metal Bender who is looking for a new engineering job that will utilise your abilities and an employer who will value your services, whilst improving your current skill set? If so, then this is the job for you!

We are looking for someone to begin working for a marine engineering company in Havant that enjoys a great reputation for employee satisfaction and an enviable local reputation for outstanding quality products, who are looking for an experienced Machine Operator/Metal Bender to join the engineering team on a choice of shift patterns (all full-time hours). If this isn't enough working hours for you, then there is the option to do overtime.

Skills and experience: -

You will need to have a good working knowledge of various machines (setting and operating) and be confident in your abilities to use Bending machines efficiently and accurately as well as be able to edit when necessary. The two main bending machines in use are the Eurobend and the Arkus 12, although any additional machine knowledge will be highly beneficial.

Of course, being a bending machinist, you will be able to work to mechanical drawings, and being able to quality-check your own working using various hand measuring tools would be highly advantageous, as you will be producing interesting products on your new machines for the Marine industry. Working to these tight tolerances will improve both the accuracy and quality of your work. Even if you feel that you don't quite have the skills, do get in touch. This company is renowned for investing in and training their staff, so it could be the lucky break you're after to develop fitting/fabricating skills into niche machining ability.

The role:-

This is a long term, on-going contract starting immediately with real scope for long term progression and development. This is a fantastic opportunity to show your skillset. This company makes bespoke parts for yachts and boats, ensuring a variety of different and interesting pieces will be worked on. As well as a competitive rate of pay and enviable uplift, this job offers some fantastic and diverse experience in a company that will put your CV head-and-shoulders above others. Available shift patterns include earlies, lates and nights; this great freedom of choice makes this ideal for parents or individuals with busy lifestyles. Over time (at time and a half) is also available.

If all this sounds interesting then click the apply button now! Or simply get in contact with Sam for a pressure free chat on 02392 45 33 77 or if you would like to know any more details. Rate of pay dependent on experience, uplift dependent upon shift pattern. Even if you are not quite sure, get in touch. We have a variety of different roles we can discuss.
