Night Support Worker

Due to extremely high demand, i am recruiting for Support Workers to work within a Supported Accommodation Project for young people at risk of homelessness based in Newhaven.
The project provides a safe and supportive environment for both males and females who are 16 - 25 years old, it offers excellent quality temporary accommodation as well as permanent move-on accommodation and support services.
Your responsibilities will include performing welfare checks on specific residents, maintaining the staff log book ensuring it is updated for the next staff member and completing thorough shift handovers. You will do hourly building patrols which include ensuring windows are locked, pathways are clear and overall safety is maintained throughout the service. When in the main office you will complete call check-ups, manage incoming emails, light admin and take care of any matters that may arise on shift.

You will need a minimum of six months experience within the care sector to be considered for this role. The position does include working lone wake night shifts, having previous experience of night work is desirable.
Ideally you will have already have previous experience working alongside young people with aspects of challenging behaviour or individuals with mental health issues and have general knowledge of supportive housing services.
