We are recruiting Night Support Workers to join our team in providing care, guidance and support to young people at risk of homelessness located in Newhaven.
You will be working inside an outstanding housing accommodation project, that promises a safe and supportive environment for both males and females aged 16-25 years old. They provide excellent quality temporary housing, as well as permanent move-on accommodation plus a selection of fantastic support services in-house.
Your duties will include performing welfare checks on specific residents, completing regular building patrols to ensure the premises are kept safe as well as ensuring overall safety within the service is maintained during the night. You will complete check-in phone calls, manage incoming emails as well as light admin tasks and household cleaning where required. You will assist the young people with any individual needs during the night, ensure a smooth running of the reception desk and continue to regularly promote all support available within the service.

You will need a minimum of six months experience within the care sector to be considered for this role.
The position does include working lone wake night shifts, having previous experience of night work is desirable.
Ideally, you will have already have previous experience working alongside young people with aspects of challenging behavior or individuals with mental health issues and have general knowledge of supportive housing services.
