Operational Accounts Assistant

The role:

You will be working within the Operational Accounts team to ensure payments are made daily, purchase invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner, and that client bank accounts are reconciled on a regular basis.

The Duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Managing task workflow.
  • Make GBP and foreign payments and deal with any questions/compliance issues that arise.
  • Carry out daily/weekly bank reconciliations and investigate anything that cannot be reconciled.
  • Processing purchase invoices from our providers.
  • Sending of sales invoices and payment remittances to our clients/providers.
  • Complete monthly and other adhoc tasks.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grades A-C) - Essential
  • Accountancy - Would be an advantage but not essential as company provides study support


  • Computer knowledge to include Outlook, Work and Excel - Essential
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and a good telephone manner


  • At least 1 years' experience in an accounting environment - Desirable

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical, organised, integrity, flexible, and confidential.
  • Be able to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
  • Be able to work to deadlines.


  • Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm 37.5 hours a week
  • Hybrid working - Work from home three days per week and two days a week in the office


  • £21,000 - £22,000
