Are you an experienced Operations Manager within the Transport industry? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to utilise your existing skills and well as developing new ones?
A new opportunity has arisen for a Operations Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth day to day planning and operations of a Travel company in Worthing, and to successfully lead the team in delivering high-quality customer service, whilst maximising resources and operational effectiveness.
We are looking for a Manager who wants to be empowered in developing a business with potential, and not afraid of challenge, commitment and hard work. Someone who is willing to go the extra mile, and has the significant drive and determination to make continuous positive improvements, with strong, professional people management skills, whilst supporting staff through this positive period of change. You will also possess a good understanding of health & safety and compliance, with well-developed decision making, analytical, and organisational skills. You will be expected to identify ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness with specific focus on driver hours, business growth and management of costs. You will also be used to working within tight deadlines, budgetary control, and meeting key business objectives and targets.
You will need to be International Transport Manager (PSV) CPC qualified and hold a leadership/management qualification or equivalent evidenced track record. You will also have excellent verbal and written skills, and be well versed and confident in MS Office.
In return you will be paid a salary of circa £35,000-40,000 as well as 28 days' holiday per year, free on-site parking, pension scheme, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, perkbox (discount scheme) and staff discounts on travel/holidays.
