Processing and Account Administrator

Portsmouth, Hilsea

£21,000 pa

FPR Group are recruiting for an exciting new role based in Hilsea in Portsmouth. This company is well established and a great place to work. As a Processing and Account Administrator your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • To deal with Suppliers to obtain quotations and products specifications.
  • To ensure that all supplies are food grade acceptable in our Company's industry.
  • To place purchase orders for raw material, auxiliary materials used on the shop floor, mechanical components, office supplies.
  • To generate bar coded labels to be used for the raw materials received.
  • To input deliveries of goods in the warehouse system.
  • To administer the end of year physical stocktaking.
  • To send remittance advice to Suppliers.
  • To collate and generate statistical data used for industrial accounting.
  • To register payments received by customers and chase late payments from customers.
  • To administer petty cash expenditures.
  • To file VAT returns.
  • To source materials of various nature when required.
  • To cover colleagues in other roles who are on holiday or off sick.

Your responsibility as a Processing and Account Administrator is to ensure that all purchases are sourced at the best possible price with a view to quality and service. To review prices in the market of the most used products on a regular basis. You will also be expected to monitor stock levels to ensure that materials are always available. Ensuring that the warehouse system matches the physical availability of products. Where this is not the case, responsible to investigate and rectify any discrepancies. You will need to ensure that both payments to suppliers and payments from customers match statements of accounts. To ensure that the petty cash balance is always correct and all costs accounted for and to ensure appropriate cover when the company requires it in case of absence of colleagues.


Full time - Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm


25 days per annum excluding bank holidays


£21,000 PA
