Job Description

Product Development Engineer - Aerospace/Aviation Industry - Mechanical Engineering - £30'000 to £34'000 per annum - Fareham

The main part of this role would be to develop new innovative filtration and separation products across a broad range of markets, taking projects from initial ideas through specification definition to implementation as well as researching new materials and processes, concept design, costing, prototyping and verification testing.

If you're passionate about Engineering and want a role that is varied, fast paced and challenging than this could be just what you are after. The team you would be joining are very dynamic and driven, they love to problem solve and get really involved with projects (with a little banter thrown in for good measure!).

This is a large company who value their employees and often promote from within so there will most certainly be a long term career opportunity for those who want it! People we have introduced to them have progressed through the company or moved into different areas of the business.

The salary would range from £30'000 to £34000 per annum depending on experience, as well as this they offer:

  1. 5 weeks' holiday
  2. Half day on Fridays
  3. Flexible Working hours
  4. Childcare vouchers
  5. Pension Scheme
  6. Onsite gym / showers
  7. Free Parking

What are they looking for?

We want to find a Mechanical Engineering graduate who has around 2 years or more in an engineering environment.

(Degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential)

Some experience of being involved with projects from conception

Exposure to high value, low volume manufacturing/production

Some knowledge of machined components

You will need to have some exposure to design

They use Inventor but experience using other 3D design packages would be great. Experience using AutoCAD or similar.

The most important thing is that you are self-motivated, driven, ambitious, and above all, passionate about your work.

You will be speaking to many different internal departments and suppliers, so having the ability to build relationships is essential along with being able to communicate effectively and professionally.

If you would like to talk about the role you are welcome to call me (ask for Tracy De Pass) on 023 92 483944. Otherwise please email your CV to us, find me on Linked In or press the APPLY button.
