Job Description

Do you have experience working with Metal Detection machines in the world of Production and Engineering? Do you have relating engineering experience and great commercial acumen to compliment? If you are in a similar role now, or perhaps you're a Project Engineer, a Commissioning Engineer or a Quality Engineer who has a thorough comprehension of these machines then we're very keen to hear from you! As a Product Support Specialist you'll receive a basic of up to £45000, circa 10k bonus and car allowance - best of all, to join a prosperous and prestige manufacturer near to Aldershot in Surrey.

This company have 2 sites in the UK, employ over 100 and in this role you will be working closely with the technical help desk and also engineering R&D. You'll be in an office with around 15 intelligent and very switched on professionals around you delivering exceptional specialist product support.

Joining 2 other Product Support Specialists and working closely with the Technical Director, you'll be bringing with you an exceptional pedigree of engineering knowledge and commercial acumen relating specifically to metal detection machinery. These machines are used primarily in the food and also pharmaceutical production industries across the UK. Half your time will be spent assisting internal engineers/professionals on queries with the machinery, the other half will be liaising directly with the customers on technical escalated queries.

What do I need?

  • It is essential you have a good engineering background and understand fundamentally how these machines operate.
  • You will possess excellent and demonstrable success providing commercial support, i.e. spending time with customers digitally, or on-site if needs be, giving them assurance you are without a doubt the expert and will be the solution.
  • A key part of the role (20%) will be providing training on the machines to both internal and external professionals - so relating training experience is required.
  • An understanding of the machines IT, i.e Scada interaction, managing the data from the machine, VPN etc.
