We have an exciting opportunity for a driven , passionate people manager with experience in a mechanical engineering/manufacturing/production environment who is looking for a role where they can really make their mark

The role offers real career growth and progression for the right person, the role would see you looking after a team of over 40 people spread over several manufacturing cells. Manufacturing covers assembly line production in a clean room, high volume mould machines making parts for internal and external use, a welding and fabrication section and a semi-clean area used for printing products. The role also has responsibility for stores and shipping so if you are looking to broaden your skill set and have more autonomy then this would be a great move for you.
You would be coordinating and motivating multi-disciplined teams, working to achieve production targets, improve performance and ensure sales orders are converted into shipments in line with quality and delivery requirements.
An SME based on the South Coast in New Milton with an established brand and a track record of success and plans for further growth, they supply a range of industries including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical.
The salary for the Production Manager would be up to £40000 per annum depending on your level of experience, they offer great benefits (e.g. contributory pension, gym equipment onsite, modern working environment, training, investment in new machinery, childcare vouchers, some flexi-time, chance to buy more holidays, shopping discounts) plus an early finish on Fridays and Free Parking.

- Track record managing and achieving production KPI's and targets in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a Technical/Engineering manufacturing/production environment (mechanical, plastics etc)
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering discipline - Apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC, Degree, etc
- Strong communication skills, able to influence other departments, gets results
