Production Operative

As a Production Operative, you will be working for a world leader manufacturing company based in Southampton. Working Monday - Friday on a double shift you will work 06:00-14:00 1 week and 14:00-22:00 the next. This means every other weekend will equate to a 3-day weekend and you will be paid £10.25ph!

This is a long-term position with fantastic career growth, starting in production you could work your way up to a technical operator, supervisor and even management! Working as a Production Operative you will be working for one of the biggest companies in Hampshire who are renowned for their good treatment of staff. You will have support from all employees within the warehouse area to help grow your current skill set whilst gaining new skills along the way.

Your supervisor will conduct training, shaping you into a skilled operator with real opportunities to develop within the company.

No experience is necessary as full training is given, however, if you have had exposure to a production environment then that will be a bonus!

General production duties after full training are as followed:

  • Picking and Packing
  • Shipping
  • Machine Operation
  • Keep quality standards high for audits
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
  • Operate warehouse pallet truck vehicles and labelling equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Assembling crates and display boxes

The job will require high attention to detail as you may be required to carry out the packaging checks to ensure the products are ready for dispatch.

Your working day will be exciting yet busy meaning it will fly by. A good work ethic, common sense, positive attitude and strong attention to detail will help you secure this great opportunity working night shifts.
