We are looking for Production Operatives (also known as Manufacturing Technicians) to work for a company in Hamble, just outside Southampton making contact lenses. World famous for the quality of the lenses produced, this company exports optical lenses to over half the countries in the world.
This role would see you, as a Production Operative, working closely with the machines as they fabricate the lenses to precise specifications. You would be given top quality training in order to run, maintain and trouble-shoot the machines as they create the lenses. You would be in charge of loading and unloading the raw material, and ensuring it is correctly stowed away for despatch.
A global leader in their field, this company is one of the biggest employers on the south, certainly within the Southampton area, and is famous for the level and quality of their training and employee support. This role will be at their Hamble site, although this company does have several sites throughout Hampshire. They have a reputation for looking after their workers, and come with a gorgeous staff room, top amenities and even a state-of-the-art library room.
This company is after Production Operatives to operate the machinery on both Day and Night shifts. Day shifts are 07:00 to 19:00, and Nights are 19:00 to 07:00. Each shift block consists of four consecutive twelve-hour-shifts in a four-on, four-off shift pattern (also known as 'continental shifts'). Day shifts start on £8.21 per hour but go up to £11 per hour after training, and Night shifts start on £9.13 and go up to £12.77 per hour! With over-time being paid up to £13.20, this role is a great way to start a new career, learn new skills and take home some serious money!
