We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join the factory management team to oversee a day shift.

Reporting to the Production Manager and together working closely with the Technical, Planning and Warehousing functions, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Process. You will be keen on making positive improvement with a focus on health & safety, efficiency, waste reduction, quality and day to day running of the shop floor.

Key duties and responsibilities:
To manage the availability of labour against the plan and to work with colleagues to optimise labour across the Manufacturing functions.

Ensure all company standards and Health and Safety protocols are strictly adhered to at all times.

Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

To motivate and support staff at all times in relation to good working practices.

In conjunction with Quality ensure adherence to documented process controls at all times
To maintain product quality and adherence through supervision of the team.

The successful candidate would require the following key skills:

· Previous experience in a busy or fast-paced production / manufacturing environment
· Previous experience of Supervising a team with great people management skills
· The ability to set targets and manage performance to achieve these results

A good mental and physical aptitude in relation to motivating and leading a team.

A quality driven careful approach to all tasks undertaken. A good understanding of the need for procedural controls within a manufacturing environment.

The ability to assess problematic situations and highlight them as a means of preventing major process issues. Good literacy and numeracy skills.

I.T literate to an adequate level in the use of Microsoft Office

Your working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm, Fridays finish at 12.30pm

Salary: £35,000

There is free parking on site, onsite subsidised canteen with training given on the role
