Job Description

Do you have experience leading a team? Do you also have experience within manufacturing and cleanroom environments? If so, then this role could be for you!

This role is based in Southampton and is offering a late or night shift pattern. The late shift pattern is 3:15pm - 11:15pm, paying £33,040. The night shift pattern is 11pm - 7am, paying £36,400.

This role is working for a collaborative, innovative photonic and laser manufacturer based in Southampton. They manufacture equipment for a wide range of industries from automotive to military to medical. The successful candidate will have a number of responsibilities within this role such as managing a team of technicians to ensure everything runs as planned. They will also need to lead by example, acting within health and safety guidelines and company values. The successful candidate will also need to perform appraisals and 1-1s with the team. Monitoring of success and key performance metrics will also be important in order to gauge productivity and efficiency to relay to team and management. Other procedures such as risk assessments, cost reductions and quality improvements also are expected from the candidate who enters this role.

You will need:

• Experience managing and leading a team

• Experience within manufacturing and cleanroom environments

• A keen eye to detail

• Flexibility with time restraints, procedures and responsibilities

• Exceptional communication skills

• Ideally experience with SAP or MRP systems
