Job Description

Do you have experience working with mechanical engineering projects? If so then we have a Project Engineer role on in Fareham, on the south coast in Hampshire! Paying up to £45000 depending upon experience offering autonomy, huge exposure to a variety of high value mechanical manufacturing projects in an environment where success really is recognised!

Tell me more!!

You'll be working on lots of projects where the manufactured products typically serve the aerospace industry - i.e their products are critical to the planes that we are all lucky enough to use when we need to travel far away. This company design and manufacture their mechanical products themselves, all on site, so you'll have great interaction with various teams and be able to follow your projects through from cradle to completion. Depending upon your CAD experience you'll be able to get hands on with the design team yet fundamentally ensure the engineering accountabilities of the project are adhered to throughout the projects life cycle.

So what do I need?

Having experience working with mechanical products is essential. Ideally an understanding of fluid dynamics or mechanical/pressure systems from your education (i.e a degree or perhaps a HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering) would be great.

Exposure to high value projects within manufacturing would be hugely beneficial. If you have good CAD design skills this is a great bonus, yet there are other Project Engineer's in the team (of 7) strong in design so you don't necessarily need to be hugely experienced within design software.

Above all we require very strong and confident communication skills and having exposure to working on/with projects, being happy to work within an environment where your work is visible and recognised.

Why should I apply?

This company design and manufacture products serving the aerospace industry, high value and exciting projects. As a relatively small site (employing around 200) your actions are recognised and your suggestions heard - they pride themselves on listening and being a very strong cross functional unit. You will work within a strong team of 7 project engineers and if you are someone who thrives in environments where there is variety, high end clients, and enjoy accountability then this will offer you huge job satisfaction.

If you have sufficient Mechanical Engineering experience within engineering projects don't hesitate to hit apply and/or call Neil Williams 02392483944 for a chat! The client are in a position to interview readily and move forwards swiftly.
