Job Description

We are seeking Quality Assessor Technician for our client in the Chichester area, preferably with food industry experience, the salary will be based on previous experience from £20,000 - £22,000.

You will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, based on a 40 hours week, working between the hours of 6:00 - 18:00. You will be entitled to 31 days holiday after the qualifying period.

You will be responsible for carrying out all QA tasks as specified by the QA Supervisor.

Duties include the auditing of all production lines on frequency to meet factory, customer and company needs to the standard required, ensuring non-compliances are dealt with to a satisfactory resolution ensuring relevant paperwork is correctly completed, ensuring HACCP controls are in place & monitored.

You will be responsible for collection samples & carrying out inspection, maintaining accurate records of results, reporting immediately on any defects, carry out sampling and testing of incoming raw materials & release from SAP, carrying out audits for cleaning & document swab results, investigating non-conforming raw materials & taking appropriate action, carrying out on line product testing as necessary, arranging tasting of products & visual quality & presentation and reporting accordingly.

We are seeking someone who has come from a food background, ideally with GCSEs in Maths, English, Science, Food Technology, computer literate and have good communication skills, a good demeanour & presentation with a good sense of tasting/smell along with good visual skills.

A foundation in Food Hygiene qualification would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Be able to work under their own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Make decision confidently
  • Valid UK Drivers Licence would be beneficial
