Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a GMP / GLP compliant laboratory with over 50 years of global experience, based in Southampton.

Fully GMP / GLP compliant, our client is a specialist in pharmaceutical and medical device testing in the fields of Microbiology and Toxicology, looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician, with knowledge of GMP standards to join their team.

The Role:

As the new Quality Assurance Technician, you will be working in compliance with GLP and GMP in addition to company procedures to assist I the issuing of controlled documentation, updating Quality databases and produce monthly data reports and KPIs. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • QA review of technical Protocols and Final Reports
  • QA review of Out of Specifications, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA), Change Control and Risk Assessment
  • Assist in QA checks of internal Booking and Reporting System
Your role will also require you to participate in the inspection of departments to ensure they are compliant with Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practise and the company quality standards.

The Package:

In addition to a salary of up to £24,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience, you will also be entitled to 24 days' annual leaveplus bank holidays in addition to a day off on your birthday following the completion of your 6 months' probationary period. You will also be enrolled onto the company pension scheme, get life cover and a medical cash back scheme as well as be eligible for the employee assistance program.

What do I need?

As the successful applicant, you will of course have proven experience working within a Quality Assurance position with strong auditing skills and knowledge of GMP compliance.

You may also have the following:

  • Knowledge of GLP is desirable
  • A degree or equivalent in a life sciences subject would be beneficial to you
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook
  • Experience of computerised systems would be beneficial for future implementation of electronic Quality Management System

In addition to the above skills and experience, our client is looking for someone who has good organisational skills, the ability to record data accurately, manage own workload, prioritise and work well under pressure.
