Job Description

Our client is a highly successful Precision Engineering company based in Portsmouth; looking for a Quality Controller to join their team.

They work to latest ISO standards and have a wealth of Tool making and Precision Engineering expertise; supplying high quality products into Aerospace, Automotive, Marine and Defence Industries to name just a few.

The working week is circa 50 hours, from 8am - 6pm. The team are really dedicated and not only do they all contribute, but are expected to take the overtime hours which are regularly available.

The hours may seem long, but the hard-working environment is really fast paced with the products they work on being in quick demand, with a fast turnaround requirement of their world renowned clients such as Formula 1!

They will offer you a competitive rate of pay, and will really look after you once all settled in. They offer free parking onsite, have a great modern working environment and a lot of machines on site, with an upstairs where computers are used for offline programming. They are a well-established and extremely successful offering stability and opportunities for training.

​As a Quality Controller, you will have either a strong background in a Tool Room environment with strong knowledge of the ISO Quality System. Alternatively, they look for someone with a smaller amount of experience, but with a relevant engineering biased qualification such as an HNC, BTEC, NVQ or an Apprenticeship. Experience in using CMM is also quite essential in addition to the ability to work with CAD model.

Naturally, they are looking for a self-motivated engineer with great communication skills with a great team ethic.
