This role isn't about being put in a box, here you can define your role more and stretch your skills. As part of quality you will be involved in customer investigations, new product implementation, supplier development, production support. Bringing your own ideas and developing new solutions to improve the organisation."
This would suit an experienced Quality Engineer looking to get into the Aviation/Aerospace industry, or someone from the industry who wants to flex and expand their skills gained in Quality to further their experience.
What will you need?
Background in Quality engineering within a mechanical or aviation/aerospace led industry
Knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes
Understanding of engineering design and product reliability concepts and tool sets
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to process/product variability, and root cause and corrective action determination.
Knowledge of system and process auditing techniques to ensure compliance
Good problem-solving skills including knowledge of relevant methods-i.e. Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools used to analyse problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects
