We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to work for a global manufacturer based in Petersfield, Hampshire. The company are the world leaders in their field and are an ambitious company who have prospered well throughout and post Covid. In this quality centric role they can offer a salary package of up to £45000 (£5000 car allowance) plus great benefits including 25 days leave, a great group pension and support from a strong and loyal team working with you. Office working is flexible, but you'd certainly still need to be commutable to visit the Petersfield office at least once every week.

As a quality engineer you will be investigating non-conformances and closing them out, keeping the QMS up to date (compliant with BS9001:2015) and naturally identify opportunities for process improvement. You'll visit their manufacturing unit in Havant when appropriate and also go out on planned visits to clients and supplier sites across the UK typically a couple of times a month. As the sole Quality Engineer in a team of 5 you'll need to be a confident and strong communicator, using quality tools and always thinking of solutions.
In this exciting role you'll also be able to conduct internal auditing so it is essentially you have accumulated some internal auditing experience already. You'll also be involved with supplier auditing to, expanding your skill set and career experience.
They are more than happy to invest in the successful candidate, they will invest to ensure you are strongly qualified to represent this company well. There onboarding process is very thorough with lots of shadowing and a training programme spanning your first 3 months in the business.
What do I need?
- Experience within a quality centric role - at least 3 years.
- A background in engineering; construction and manufacturing will transfer well.
- Have internal auditing experience already, ideally being certified.
- Strong communication skills and being well presented.
- Ideally certified in engineering or construction.
The company is easily commutable from Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Fareham, Midhurst, Liss, Alton, Havant, Fareham, and surrounding areas.
