Quality Engineer looking for a new challenge with Aerospace?
You would be working with interesting mechanical products supplying to prestigious clients within Aviation/Aerospace manufacturing.
We're looking for driven Quality professionals with a background in engineering / mechanical manufacturing with a good understanding of Quality tools and processes. For this particular role, you will need to have some experience of hands on inspection of components and a basic understanding of quality auditing techniques. It would be great if you have a degree or HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline however relevant experience will most certainly be considered in lieu of qualifications.
This would suit someone who has an understanding of engineering design and product reliability concepts and tool sets, a knowledge of gauging and basic understanding of product material properties with a knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / six Sigma concepts, and root cause and corrective action. To have a thorough understanding of problem solving methods-i.e. Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and associated statistical tools, you will most likely have worked in a quality role for at around 3 years or more.
The salary is circa £35,000 per annum but may go up to £40000/£45000 for someone in a more Senior Quality role and they offer excellent career potential. Reporting directly to a dynamic, supportive and driven Quality Manager, the successful candidate will be a strong communicator who would be able to form relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal departments whilst ensuring product compliance is in line with expectations.
