Are you an Quality Engineer looking for a permanent job with an exciting company who work in the Electronic Industry supplying to Aerospace/ Defence/ Transport then I want to hear from you! If you are a Quality professional with a background in high end quality engineering & electronics with drive, motivation and understanding of Quality tools and processes then this could be the perfect role for you.
The company are a highly successful in high quality sub-contract services to the electronics industry located in Fareham. They normally operate 3 months ahead but due to good service and an increase in orders are now operating 12 months ahead. They are expanding, and currently opening a training facility located nearby to continue the companies' progression.
Your role will be to plan and implement internal and external audits, develop and maintain quality documents, plans, procedures and process flows. You will also use your experience to generate First Article Inspection reports, perform GI, stage & final Inspections, as well as maintain calibration and ESD Systems. Your ability to identify quality problems and where appropriate provide corrective and preventive actions will also be of use.
Any experience or awareness & understanding of QMS Disciplines IAW ISO 9001/ AS9100/ TS16494, & Auditing skills IAW AS9100/ISO9001/TS16949 are beneficial.
You will be reporting directly to the Quality Manager so strong communication skills and the ability of forging relationships with prestige customers, suppliers, auditors and internal departments will come naturally to you whilst ultimately ensuring product compliance is in line with expectations.
What do you need? Naturally you will be a strong and confident communicator with drive and motivation - but you will also have good experience from within an industry where quality is paramount. Good experience with quality tools such as 8D and problem solving tools such as six sigma, root cause analysis and CAPA's will be at the core of your skills set.
The salary for this role is between £30,000 and £35,000 depending on experience. With this comes 24 days holiday (+ bank holidays), a good pension scheme, a local gym membership reduction, and a half day on Fridays. Your core working hours would be 7:30am-4:30pm Monday- Thursday and 7:30am to 12:30pm Friday.
