Job Description

We are recruiting for a confident charismatic communicator to join a team of 6 and become an integral part of the Quality Improvement leadership team at a leading engineering company in Fareham, Hampshire. Hands on engineering experience would be beneficial but is not essential, this is not an engineering role, this is more biased towards communicating well across departments, auditing, demonstrating quality values and being a point of contact for quality issue communications.

As a Quality professional you will ultimately ensure that products and services meet requirements and crucially meet airworthiness standards. You'll be auditing frequently so experience within this arena is a must (2-3 years), coaching and supporting managers/team leaders and installing a "stop at first defect" culture and become involved with resolving non-conformance's.

Other aspects of your role would include following up on validations to confirm the efficiency of actions taken meet Airworthiness regulations, Customer requirements and the AS9110 standard, host external audits, participation in continuous improvement projects/activities as appropriate, occasional travel (4-6 times a year).

We are looking for a quality professional with experience working within an Aviation/Aerospace environment or similar highly regulated industries where your skills could transfer. You will be able to use your strong communication skills to influence departments across the company. A green belt would be beneficial but isn't essential as long as you can provide a track record of problem solving and improvements.
