Job Description

We are looking for a driven Quality Inspector who has a strong toolroom or machine shop background, to join a highly successful Precision Engineering firm in Portsmouth.

The Role?

As the Tool Room Inspector, you must:

  • Have GD&T knowledge
  • Be familiar with ISO Quality System standards
  • Have a strong background in a Tool Room environment.
  • Have knowledge and experience of using CMM (you will not be considered without this)

The company used a Nicon CMM Manager and Scanner (QCT 3D PRO), whilst the ability to operate the CMM Machine is essential to the role, if you can also programme, this would be a huge benefit!

The Company?

They are experts in Precision Engineering and Tool Making, supplying high quality products into Aerospace, Automotive, Marine and Defence Industries, to name a few!

With a 50-hour week, their core hours are Monday-Friday; 8am - 6pm, with plenty of overtime available including Saturday mornings! It is a very fast paced environment, with components they work on being in quick demand. With a fast turnaround requirement, the hard-working team pool together to ensure they deliver on time for their world-renowned clients such as Formula 1.

They will pay £12-£14ph (subject to ability level), with free onsite parking, a great modern working environment with a lot of machines on site and a separate area with computers for offline programming.
