Quality Manager - Portsmouth

We are currently recruiting for a prestigious global manufacturing company who are looking for a Quality Manager to join the team, the client is based on the south coast and has a globally recognised client base.
We're looking for driven Quality professional with a background in Automotive engineering / mechanical manufacturing with a good understanding of Quality tools and processes. For this particular role, you will need to have plenty of experience in hands on inspection of components and a high understanding of quality auditing techniques. Also, your good understanding of IATF 16949 would be called upon daily.
This would suit someone who has an understanding of engineering design and product reliability concepts and tool sets, a knowledge of gauging and strong understanding of product material properties with a knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / six Sigma/ concepts, and root cause and corrective action. To have a thorough understanding of problem solving methods-i.e. Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and associated statistical tools, you will most likely have worked in a quality role for at around 10 years or more.
The company are focused on continuous improvements and are constantly trying to find innovative ways to improve the quality of their products. You will be championing Quality improvement initiatives that support the product or process.
Reporting directly to a dynamic, supportive and driven Quality Director, you will have a team of 3 Quality Managers below you that you will be supporting, training and motivating to progress the company. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who would be able to form relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal departments whilst ensuring product compliance is in line with expectations.
The Package The salary is circa £55,000 per annum but may go up for someone who ticks all of the boxes and they offer excellent career potential. Benefits include 25 days holiday, Flexible working hours, Free Parking and a good pension scheme.
