We have an unusual opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer with experience in Quality looking for a varied role within a precision engineering company near Fareham.
You will be working in a newly built factory with a fast-paced and friendly work environment.
They pride themselves on pushing their employees to achieve their best and expand upon their skills within, using the latest machinery, they manufacture a variety of small batch, high-quality products for the Oil & Gas, Aviation and Motorsport industries.
They are looking for someone with hands-on mechanical engineering/inspection skills and able to read engineering drawings.
You will be working in a small quality team, alongside a skilled inspector. They would like to employ someone who is comfortable with hands-on inspection as well as wanting to step up into a broader role including assisting with updating their QMS, so someone who familiar with ISO would be ideal.
You will be required to maintain accurate records and documentation to aid the continuous improvement and to demonstrate effective control of quality.
This would suit someone who has a flexible attitude and is keen to get involved with improving systems and procedures to make improvement including ensuring less material is wasted.
You would need to be competent using a range of manual quality tools to inspect components as well as being used to working to tight tolerances and maintaining Quality related documentation.
The salary for this role is circa the late twenties to mid-thirties depending on the skills you can bring to the role and how much training you would need. The factory is open 07:00-17:30 and people elect how much over time they would like to do within those hours, everything over 39 hours is paid at time and a half.
