We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client based in Braintree. This position will see you supporting two main functions of the company across the Structural & Architectural and the Telecoms departments. We are wanting an individual with 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor and a background of working on Construction & Building based projects.

What will I be doing?
You will be working across multiple industries supporting up-to a dozen projects at once. You will be expected to negotiate contract terms/conditions, procurement of subcontractors, tender preparation including production of engineering cost plans & estimates, manging the compilation, submission, and negotiation of claims and much more…

What do I need?

• Previous quantity surveying experience (Ideally 5+ years).
• Construction background with evident quantity surveying experience in the building sector. (Structural Steelwork & Metalwork would be desired but not needed).
• Knowledge of commonly used Construction Contracts is wanted (JCT ideally).
• Full driving license as client/site visits are permitted (Roughly 1/2 every fortnight).
• Keen attitude and mindset to be able to get on and manage your own workload.
• Positive personality with willingness to see projects through to finish.

The Package: This role is paying a basic salary between £50k - £70k depending on experience. You will have access to a life assurance package of at least 2x your salary, contributory pension scheme at 3% of your salary if you contribute 5% totalling 8%, 20 days annual leave with the additional bank holidays, a health cash plan to support with costs of everyday healthcare issues, staff discounts/savings and much more.
