Registered Manager Salary £30.000 - £40.000 DOE
Fantastic opportunity working for a childrens home that has grown over the last 20 years to an excellent standard of care, OFSTED reports year on year have been OUTSTANDING.
The ethos of the home is all about the atmosphere within the home which is team orientated and famly based culture. The home has a strong structure in place, creating set boundries for both staff (key workers) and young people to adhere to.
The home works with the I.C.O.N framwork to the five outcomes for young people.
Our client has registered 4 Children's Homes within the Surrey, and Horsham and surrounding areas. The homes are surrounded in beautiful countryside locations, with each home having a unique inviting atmosphere for young males to feel at home in.
The ideal candidate would have experience of challenging behaviour with teenage boys.
The home offers Young people a safe place to be able to move forward in a secure, structured, therapeutic environment.
You will hold a Diploma Level 5 in Young People, and Knowledge and experience of Safeguarding, NVQ 5 is essential as is an understanding of the skills needed to lead a team.
Outstanding communication skills with a firm but fair attitude.
You must have a minimum of 2 years' previous experience of managing a residential Children's Home to a Good or Outstanding level.
You must have a exceptional understanding of the requirements of registration, and a previous Registration with Ofsted would be desirable.

Your new role:
As the Registered Manager you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, safe and effective running of the home.
In particular, you will have excellent management and leadership skills, be a positive role model to your team. Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children you support.
Having had experience of managing a staff team and good staff retention, you will help to develop the RSW team within their roles, carrying out supervisions, and rota co-ordination.
As well as team management you will also be responsible for ensuring Ofsted compliance for the homes is well managed and outcomes from inspections are positive, including those of the placing authorities.
