Job Description

Registered Manager 36k-39k Per Year

Currently looking to recruit a Registered Manager for a lovely 11 bed rural home situated in the small village of Barcombe, between Lewes and Uckfield. You will be surrounded by the picturesque scenes of the countryside and only a couple of minutes stroll away from the beautiful Barcombe Stream! The home is a registered charity working to support young adults with profound learning and physical disabilities. Their aim is to give their residents the most from life by giving love, care, freedom and opportunity.

My client will also consider a current Deputy Manager and will support and guide them into the Manager's role. You will have a Level 5 Registered Managers Award or already be enrolled to complete one. My client will also consider candidates without a Level 5. You will be working in partnership with The Ops Manager Alice, (who has worked for the charity for 11 years!) and the Office Manager to ensure that the very best care and opportunities are available to the residents. Your ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively will be key to your development and that of your team.

You will use your experiences of working directly in a complex healthcare needs environment. You will also have experience in delivering person centred care and support, including to those who lack capacity. Due to the home's rural location a vehicle is essential for this role but no need to worry as there will be free parking on site! You will have a 37.5-hour work week and you will be paid monthly.

You will use your knowledge in CQC Guidelines and Standards to ensure that the service provided by the home meets best practice. Your primary focus will be ensuring the home delivers high-quality person-centred care to its residents. Combined with your caring and compassionate nature, you will show honesty and resilience to be able to manage a fast-paced environment.

You will use your excellent leadership skills with your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with your team, residents and their families, this may include getting involved in the day-to-day activities that are set up for the residents. On top of this you will use your strong organisational and planning abilities to be able to manage your time and prioritise accordingly.
