Currently looking to recruit a Registered Manager for a lovely rural home based in the scenic village of Framfield very near Uckfield. This home provides support to children with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties).

As well as an excellent starting salary you will receive paid in-house training and development to nurture and further your skills as well as the option to complete your level 5 Diploma! You will have a 40-hour working week and 28 days annual leave this includes bank holidays for a great work life balance!

Due to the Homes rural location, you will need a vehicle for this role as public transport will not be accessible. A full UK driving licence would be a bonus for this role as the home may have a fleet of company cars accessible to the Children and Young people.

As an experienced Registered Manager, you will have knowledge of OFSTED Regulations and you will be up to date with the Childcare and Child Protection Laws. With your proven track record in working directly with vulnerable children and young people. You can use your managerial skills to manage and support your team by being available to them and promoting best practice ensuring a smooth running of the home. With your kind nature paired with your managerial skills you will be able to ensure the very best care and support to the children in line with their personalised care plans. With your excellent communication skills, you will be keeping regular contact with different professional bodies such as Social Services, Health Practitioners, Parents and Families amongst others. You will use your organisational skills to provide safe levels of staff along with your natural abilities to be aware of dynamics with the children and within your staff team.

Your experience paired with your good sense of humour, integrity, initiative, and honesty which allows you to build the strong relationships with both your team and the children living at the home. You will understand the challenges faced when caring and supporting children with EBD and show your resilience in pressured and challenging situations. You will be an excellent role model to provide the children with a secure base where they can learn, develop and fulfil their potential in life.
