Job Description

Registered Manager Needed

Highly regarded and reputable client is looking for an experienced, registered manager for their brand new, specialised residential children's home in Stoke On Trent. The role of registered manager is one where you will continue to enhance your leadership skills and be a role model for young people. With your recent, relevant experience and the drive, ambition and vison to make a positive impact on the lives of young people you will lead your team to strive for the best possible outcomes for the home and the children in your care.

My client puts the well-being and needs of their residents at the heart of everything they do, so being calm and consistent in your practice is key in order to get the best outcomes for the young people. You will be aware of and sensitive to social, emotional and mental health difficulties that the young people may experience giving them the nurturing, care and boundaries that they need in order to navigate adolescence.

Along with experience of at least 2 years Ofsted inspections you will need to have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Children and Young People in the Workforce and an NVQ level 5 leadership and Management qualification to be considered for this role or be willing to train towards one.

As well as a richly, rewarding role on offer there is a competitive starting salary, rising to £40,000 depending on experience, you will also benefit from a bonus scheme and your birthday off. A comprehensive training package is also offered to further develop your career.

Being a good role model and mentor is key for this role as the young people will look to you for guidance, support, and positive reassurance. Having significant experience working with young people with challenging behaviour and an empathetic nature you will encourage and enable the young people to build meaningful relationships with the team, other professionals and their peers.

With your positive outlook and strong work ethics you will lead your team to success.

There is real scope to shape the team and make this role your own.
