Job Description

Research and Design Engineer (R&D Engineer)

We are recruiting for a Research and Design Engineer to work closely within a team of 6 at a well-established, highly reputable manufacturing site in Wrexham who employ over 85 professionals on site.

Paying up to £33000 per year, working 36.25 hours across Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, 25 days of holiday, up to 11% pension (7% employer 4% you), BUPA cash plan and a discretionary bonus scheme!

What would I do?

As an R&D Engineer, primarily you'll be in an exciting role to develop new products and processes. You'll be on the front lines of innovation, driving the creation and enhancement of processes, products, and technologies. You'll research, design, test, and implement new material production processes, improve existing methods, and develop cutting-edge products being supported by a great set of engineers and Scientists. This really is a well-rounded scientific role offering great variety, ample exposure to laboratory sciences and business operations to elevate your career significantly moving forwards.

What do I need?

  • A relevant degree, such as Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering, Materials Engineering degrees or similar will be considered with relevant knowledge or experience.
  • Experience post degree - ideally up to 2 years within industry/manufacturing
  • Self-management - you'll have great ownership of your projects.
  • Dynamic attitude with great communication skills to work well with wider personnel
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • You must live within a feasible commute to the site in Wrexham
