Job Description

A well established childrens home organisation based in Worthing has recently changed hands and as a result they are now looking for a new Registered Manager to run their 6 bedded home in the Worthing area.

The home will be part of the second largest childrens home organisation in the country which gives staff plenty of oppourtunity for forward progression internally and allows for excellent skills sharing and support from senior management.

You will be in sole charge of the home which at present has a full compliment of staff, some of whom are well established and have over 3 years experience, the previous manager has been transferred to an area manager within the same organisation and is leaving the home with a "GOOD" rating from OFSTED. Meaning that there are no huge issues for you to deal with! Rather a case of you driving improvements and forming effective relationships with the staff and team and young people.

You will be paid an advanced salary for this role which exceeds local averages and you will also have the unique oppourtunity to work within an organisation that is expanding rapidly and already looking at new homes to source and acquire in the local area.

You must have previous management experience and excellent knowledge of working with children with EBD and challenging behaviour. Another important part of the job role is that you are able to motivate and inspire your staff team through all the issues that arise in a busy childrens home.

A car driver is essential due to the rural nature of the home and holding the NVQ 5 would be an advantage, allthough experience is valued so please apply either way.
