A new oppourtunity has arisen for Residential childrens workers required for permanent support worker roles based in Horley or Merstham. Job role involes working closely with females with EBSD aged 12-18 in a 5 bedded residential service.

The job role involves working as a support worker for a small organisation with 2 homes in the North Surrey area, both homes set in attraxtive and pleasant rural surroundings, working with well established and professional staff teams with a team working ethos of support. The organisation is well established and respected in their field.

You will be part of a well trained and motivated support team working 1-1 with the young people, your role will be focused on providing a safe and secure living environment which encourages the young people to develop and flourish for their future lives.

The job role comes with an advanced salary, well above the national and local average for this type of role and also comes with excellent training oppourtunities and personal development possibilities. There is also excellent advancement and training oppourtunities with specialist training being offered as well as the NVQ 3.

Previous experience working with children with EBD and challenging behaviour is required, either in a residential setting or another type of setting. But if you have worked in any type of youth work role in the past, either voluntary or paid we would love to hear from you.

Job roles involves working to a shift pattern including sleep in shifts. You will be paid extra for these, also due to the location of the homes you will need to be a car driver.
