Residential Childrens Worker - West Sussex
Residential children's service provider based in the West Sussex area with 8 individual children's units for children with EBD and challenging behaviour, working with children from various backgrounds and problematic family environments. Children are a mixture of boys and girls and from all cultures and are aged between 11-18.
Your job role involves working as part of a team based in one of the homes to ensure that the children are safe and looked after and striving towards independence while gaining knowledge for independent living when they leave the care system.
You will be working sleep in shifts as part of a care rota, also you will have amazing training and development opportunities. Including the chance to study towards the NVQ 3 and further training possibilities.
As you will be working as part of large organisation with multiple services you have the chance to progress internally within the organisation as you familiarise yourself with the day to day running's of working with children with EBD and challenging behaviour in residential settings.
You must have similar or relevant experience working with children who have EBD in any type of setting. Also you must be prepared to work shifts and be part of a sleep in pattern.
