Residential Support Worker - Horsham

Brand new service based in rural Horsham is currently recruiting for residential staff to join the existing team in a school for children with autism.
You will be working as part of a team of care staff in a residential unit based on the site of the school. You will be tasked with getting the children ready and then meeting them after school, then completing homework assignments or taking part in activities.
The school has just opened in March and has all relevant facilities and equipment, including sports pitches and even chickens outside!
As a residential worker you will be expected to formulate meaningful relationships with the young people and to set an example.
You will be required to work towards an NVQ 3, this is commenced after 3 months of service. Plus you will also be given all other mandatory and specialist training. Shifts are standard early and late. With limited working hours over the weekend as a lot of the children go home.
School is based in a rural location so car driver is essential.
