Senior Customer Supply Planner

Due to growth the Customer Service Manager is looking for a Senior Customer Supply Planner to join the team. You would be working for a company who are one of the largest manufacturers in the world with a €1.6 billion turnover.

This is an excellent opportunity based in Portsmouth. As well as a competitive salary of £30k - £40k, benefits include: 172 hours holiday, a pension scheme, onsite parking, subsidised canteen and more.

You will need to be comfortable communicating accurately and effectively across all levels of business, focusing on engineering change, production planning and scheduling. With responsibility for analysing current and future data, developing process improvements and managing change, a critical role in liaison between departments and businesses to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.

What you will be doing:

You will be production planning using MFG PRO to determine prioritise daily/weekly requirements by obtaining an analysing information pertaining to build programme variance, receiving facility/supply constraints, internal/external disputes, quality/packaging/transport problems etc to balance stock levels against production requirements to avoid misfits.

You will investigate discrepancies between computer stocks and instigate if necessary. Continually reviewing customer schedules to ensure their integrity and ensure material availability, you will need to be consistent with attaining target stock levels and determine/maintain stock against components under own control in live with the company policies.

You will participate in the implementation of modifications, ensuring change points are captured. Liaising with Suppliers, Purchase/Company Timing and Engineering Departments regarding the introduction/interchange ability of new parts and their status. Also you would be responsible for the preparation and publication within the supply base, the business and the group of transparent KPI's.

You will ensure that all necessary steps are taken when quality problems arise in a timely and controlled manner and always be approachable to your colleagues if any guidance or training is needed.

What do they want from you?

This company are looking for someone with experience in Supply Chain or Logistics within an Automotive or Manufacturing environment. You will need to have worked with manufacturing processes, logistics, MRP and Supplier Management. You will need to have used an ERP system and have good communication and negotiation skills.
