Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver complex projects? This Senior Electrical Design Engineer role is working for a company in Portsmouth. The role is offering flexible working hours, Monday to Friday. The role is also paying a salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience. Due to security purposes, you must also be a British Citizen.

As a Senior Electrical Design professional, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects from inception to completion. Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will provide expertise in developing effective design solutions and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. With a broad range of responsibilities, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and contribute to our clients' success.

Your responsibilities include developing detailed Statements of Requirements, performing voltage and lighting calculations, managing design teams, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and environmental standards. You will also review subcontractor designs, coordinate internal design reviews, and support tender reviews.

You will need:

• A Degree, HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

• 7+ years of experience in a relevant industry

• To be an incorporated Engineer and Chartered, or working towards Chartered status

• A strong understanding and knowledge of Electrical Systems including HV, LV, lighting, CHP, PV and EV

• Understanding of the engineering lifecycle from inception to in-service

• Ideally knowledge of Scada systems networks

• To be familiar with engineering, procurement and construction aspects of projects

• Experience mentoring lesser experienced engineers

• You must be a British citizen due to this role being within the MOD
