*** New Job Role ***
Recently built residential service for 16 adults with learning disabilities based in Burgess Hill is currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to lead small teams of staff in a learning disability environment.
Job role involves you working across 4 services each with 4 beds based on the same purpose built site. The service users have a range of learning disabilities which gives the job role variance and also allows you to work with different service users and gain valuable experience in a sometimes challenging environment.
As a senior you will have responsibility for the care floor and will need to be able to nurture and give direction to new and less experienced members of staff, while following in line with company guidelines and CQC requirements.
You will be working as part of a family company, with a registered manager to offer excellent support. There is a variance of service users and they aim to ensure you are working with a service user group you are comfortable with and which suits your skills.
This is a great oppourtunity to earn an enhanced (recently increased) salary and work in a busy and well organised environment.
NVQ 3 is preferable but not essential as previous experience will also be taken into account and considered.
The service is close to public transport links and local services so easy to reach, giving options to both staff and service users.
