Job Description

Are you looking for your next exciting role within Health & Social Care? Do you love working in fast paced environments where no day is the same?

We are recruiting for experienced Support Workers to work alongside a busy Emergency Department, providing both practical as well as emotional support to patients of all ages within our transportation service based in East Sussex.

You control your work pattern, we will offer you an incredible selection of day shifts to choose from throughout the week as well as over weekends and bank holidays giving you unbelievable flexibility.

Your primary responsibilities will include escorting patients to assigned departments, collecting prescriptions from the hospital pharmacy and undertaking non-medical tasks. You will provide companionship to patients whilst waiting for their treatment, emotional support to family/friends and ensure the patient is comfortable while potentially waiting long hours. You will be required to drive patients' home once they have been discharged, ensuring they're safe and settled in their home before leaving to return to the hospital. There will be aspects of light admin to complete during shift, inputting information on computer systems and checking records are correct.

This position does require a full driving licence.

You will need a minimum of six months experience within the care sector to be considered for the role.
