We are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join a prestigious food production company to effectively manage production in a fast paced environment. The role would be working a double day shift so 6am to 2pm for one week then 2pm to 10pm the next, salary inclusive of shift allowance is circa £40'000 per annum.
There are around 50 - 65 production personnel reporting into this position, you will be managing a diverse team with ranging skills. The role can be high pressure so you will need have a cool head when problems arise, the volume is high and the turnaround is fast so if you thrive in a high energy environment this is a great place to work.
People who are in management or supervisory roles with food, pharm, cosmetics or contact lens manufacturers would be a good match for this role, or similar FMCG manufacturers. Applicants must be confident, experienced managers.
This role comes with a great benefits package that includes 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and Stake holder pension scheme. The salary is circa £25000 per annum for a graduate level person but would pay more for applicants with development experience so please get in touch with me!
You would be responsible production being carried out in line with the plan and target levels of KPIs, looking after Health and Safety of all your staff, making sure team members are trained and aware of their role/responsibilities,
Controlling labour costs (just for your shift), ensure maximum efficiencies.
Overseeing logistics activities and being the point of contact for the shift based QA team.
Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement is developed throughout production areas and support implementation of projects
